Welcome to the Ocean Conservation Yacht Club, the only club dedicated to connecting sailing enthusiasts with ocean conservation issues.
What Does the OCYC Do?
It's a good idea to stop and think about the organization you support. Here are a few of the things we bring to the sailing world:
- Provides A Voice: The OCYC, through its affiliation with Oceana - the world's biggest ocean conservation organization - represents registered sailors, Clubs, and Classes conservation interests.
- The Calendar: The OCYC coordinates a racing, cruising, sailing and conservation activity schedule and calendar to inform members of opportunities to sail, learn, and participate.
- Represents All Sailors: The OCYC offers a place to start as a cruiser, racer, or arm chair skipper. The OCYC eliminates the barriers to being part of a yacht club and brings deeper purpose to club membership.
- Highpoint Series: OCYC volunteers and staff calculate the annual highpoint scores for OCYC participants based on their sailing and conservation activities, recognizes and promotes the teams and sailors that participate in those activities and provides annual trophies for the winners.
- Regatta Support: The OCYC provides support for sailors and sailing teams that race to protect our oceans. Contact us to learn more.
- Website Services: The OCYC website provides numerous opportunities to stay up to date on local, regional, national and international sailing and conservation affairs and serves as a communication device for all sailors.
