About Us
OCYC History
Established in 2008, the Ocean Conservation Yacht Club is a collaboration between Oceana and the sailing community. Sailors witness and are adversely affected by the decline of the world's oceans and have a unique opportunity to be part of the solution. Under the guidance of Oceana campaigners, sailors can contribute to the solutions of the most urgent ocean issues identified by Oceana's top scientists.
The OCYC is currently registered with Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association.
About Oceana
Oceana is the largest international group dedicated 100 percent to restoring and protecting abundant oceans. Its team of marine scientists, economists, lawyers and advocates win policy changes to prevent the collapse of marine populations, reduce pollution and protect vital habitat.
